Heartleaf Buckwheat

Grows mostly on cliffs, talus, and gravelly or sandy slopes in sagebrush communities, montane forests, and oak woodlands. The flowers grow in flat-topped clusters with leafy bracts beneath and are pale to bright yellow in color.
