They are also called horned lizards, they have dagger-like spines on their head and down their back, a flat pancake-like body, and a stubby tail. They mostly eat ants, but can eat other insects as well. They prefer open areas with sandy soil and can often be found along Owens Circle where it bends near the cabin.
