Coyote

• Size: 2 ft tall // 20-35 lbs
• Diet: Omnivores, will eat just about anything including mammals (small and large), insects, snakes, grass and carrion
• Seasonal Habits: Active year round, gives birth in April
• Temperament: Not overly aggressive, but can be territorial and protective

They look similar to small German Shepherd dogs. In Eastern Oregon they are mostly tannish-brown with streaks of grey and black. You can often hear them yip and howl throughout the ranch and see them jumping and playing like puppies as they hunt throughout Camp Creek meadow near the lodge and cabins. Use caution if you see one carrying an anvil, or wearing roller skates with rockets attached.
